Timmins High and Vocational School Home

Students at Timmins High and Vocational School in the SHSM Welding class recently had the exciting opportunity to tour the underground operations at Lake Shore Gold’s Bell Creek site. Through this hands-on experience, students explored real-world mining processes and saw firsthand how skilled trades like welding play a vital role in safe and efficient operations.

The gym at Timmins High and Vocational School was buzzing as Grades 9–11 students explored everything Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) has to offer at the 2026 SHSM Expo. With interactive booths representing Construction, Welding, Healthcare, Culinary, Business, ICT, Arts & Culture, Manufacturing, as well as Co-op, Dual Credit, and OYAP.
